This group of stories comprises the majority of my writing. I enjoy telling stories, but I approach each story from the viewpoint of ‘What happens next?’ ‘Why did that happen?’ by and large I don’t believe in magic. Since most of my stories are aspects of weight gain, feederism, and peoples interaction, there are only rare cases of ‘Poof, you’re too fat to move!”
I don’t like violating what have been basic concepts of science regarding the conservation of matter, energy, angular movement. I leave these stories to series like “Sins” where you have protagonists who are not bound by the laws of man or nature, at least on this plane.
I probably give too much back story, but how can you place the story in a place, time, or universe without some back story? I also like to write in universes. In many ways, I adopted this from the writers of my youth. I think I read every book by Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Larry Niven, Charles Sheffield, A. E. van Vogt, Fred Saberhagen, and way too many other Sci Fi Authors. I recommend any and all of these to you. It overjoyed me when the kindle came out. Most of the library I have/had is slowly disintegrating into paper pulp dust. I’ve only downloaded 500 books to the kindle. Including several “MEGA COLLECTIONS” of 100+ stories on in several cases 50+ novels.
When I was 16, I spent the summer reading my father’s editions of “The Harvard Classics” all 50 volumes, and I inherited my Grandfather’s edition of them and “The Harvard Shelf of Fiction”. I have passed this addition on to my son who is coveting both those series, for when I downsize or am removed from this plane.
Finis to a long discursive passage.
There are many stories set in the Changes Foundation Universe.
That universe has evolved, and there are some discongruencies within the stories.
Most of these stories are well over 40,000 words. They can take me up to a year or more to write.
They are in order of writing:
Moving On- the story of Alexander
George Hershard:
Change of Life
Beginning a new life
Living a new life
Harry Barton:
Happenstance
Managing
Harry 3
Jeremy- Short Story
Thomas Patterson:
Transformations- Derrick
Patterson Transition
Patterson NYU*
Daniel Suskind*
I’ll be posting all the back stories over the next few months, but I’ve wanted to start posting some fresh stories. Patterson Transition will start. Be patient, and the voluminous stories will be posted, but I don’t want to wait for two to three years before posting new content.
